Our tour is designed to benefit all skill levels with any type of camera (smart-phones welcome). No matter what gear you have, our guides will be able to help you progress as photographer. Beginners will learn techniques to get more out of their equipment; how to read light and adjust their exposure settings to photograph Alaskaâ€™s stunning scenery and wildlife in a way that â€œdoes it justice.â€ Advanced photographers will enjoy the luxury of being driven to the best locations without having to rent a car or trying to scout the vast and unfamiliar landscape.

Our guide was Todd, a handsome rascal who held forth on his free-spirited life. Todd (for me) was best at discussing composition, though for those who need it, he'll guide your through aperture settings, the histogram, and other technical aspects of taking pictures. He stopped at three spots, one of which was a real find and involved a short hike from the road. He did make three other stops at my request. I'd give the tour a B.

As a professional photographer, I have limited time to explore some of the best shooting locations. Todd took us to several out of the normal stops to show off some of his favorite vantage points. Small groups ensure that you get time with the guide when you need answers.

Amazing tips and info. I learned a few things about my camera’s function that hadn’t tried to use before. They took us to places to get photos that we would not have otherwise been able to see. Highly recommended l! Thanks to Todd fir a great trip!!

The guide was actually fine and knowledgeable but the inordinate amount of time spent teaching basics of operating a DSLR to a noob group was off putting. Also we covered only three locations and only one of them was really worth taking any quality pictures. Would not recommend for slightly advanced photographers or those looking for quick tour of majestic vistas.

I know NOTHING about photography, don't like to hike and only use my cell phone camera. This activity was an education, a revelation and I highly recommend it. The guide knows all the best spots and will help you get all the best shots.

This should be the #2 area thing to do in the Denali area after seeing the park. I saw more things on their tours than the 7.5 hour NPS tour. I did two excursions - the Photo Excursion with Terry and the Moose Blind with Todd. I wish i could give them 10 stars. This was the very best of my Denali trip. I arrived Memorial weekend where pandemic rules are still in effect. Terry met me in the evening at McKinley Chalet and off we went in search of reflections and critter. Outside the park there are an incredible number of vistas and ponds to get mountain reflections. We saw moose a couple of times, a porcupine (which looked like a pile of hay moving), ducks, and swans. As we were headed back we spotted more moose and a mamma with her two recently born calves. 2 days later i had a 5am pickup with Todd. Unfortunately it was raining so we did a drive looking for moose and others. We spotted several moose and a caribou. A grizzly came out on the dirt road and ran ahead of us for at least a half mile. What a treat, especially since i didnt see bears inside the park. Both men are very enjoyable to chat with, incredibly informative about the area and photography, and really want their customers to have a great time. I am not home yet...so I've attached a phone picture.

I have had my camera for 4 years and never used. I took this tour hoping to learn how to use it to get good pictures. After 3.5 hours with Terry...I take great pictures!!! This is a great wonderful fantastic tour to learn how to take proper pictures that you don’t have to explain later what went wrong....learn how to capture the moment with confidence.
