Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Pass By: Hyatt Regency Seattle, 808 Howell St, Seattle, WA 98101, USA

Your tour will begin between 7:30am and 8:00am when your guide for the day picks you up at your downtown Seattle hotel or preferred location in the vicinity. If you are not staying in the vicinity of downtown Seattle or Sea-Tac area hotels, please arrange to meet us at the Hyatt Regency Seattle located on Howell St.

After pickup, we'll drive south to Mt. Rainier National Park. As we approach the park, Mt. Rainier will periodically come into view on clear days. You'll enjoy the scenery of the rustic farmland and lowland old growth forests will that surround the mountain as we get closer. During the journey, your guide will share background information about the park itself as well as the area's natural history to put your visit to Mt. Rainier in a broader context of the Pacific Northwest's geologic past.

Stop At: Mount Rainier National Park, WA 98304

After entering the park, we'll begin to gain elevation and you'll get your first panoramic views of Mt. Rainier's glacier clad flanks and summit that towers above us at 14,411 ft. On the way up the mountain, we'll make stops to stretch our legs and breath in our surroundings in the old growth forest amidst towering trees that have stood for over 800 years. We'll take in plunging waterfalls and rivers fed by glacial run-off and heavy with silt, shaping the landscape before our eyes. The highest elevation your tour will reach will between 5,400 and 6,400 ft. At these heights, you'll be surrounded by the mountain's sub-alpine splendor. Early spring tours will see the mountain still in the midst of winter at these elevations. Summer tours in July and August will be able to walk through Mt. Rainier's famous expanses of wildflower meadows, and after a short hike, come face to face with some of the mountain's 25 major glaciers--the most of any peak in the US outside of Alaska.

Your full time guide will be with you throughout your journey at Mt. Rainier. You'll learn about the mountain's cycle of seasons, how its glaciers formed, how they are continually changing the landscape, and what's in store for the mountain's future. Around midday, your guide will serve you a delicious catered lunch in the park. No cold, dry sandwiches and bag of chips here! Lunches typically include a selection of steak, salmon, or chicken skewers with sides of vegetables, a fresh green salad, and dessert along with a selection of hot and cold beverages. We happily make meal arrangements for vegetarians, vegans or any other dietary requirements with advanced notice.

The tour guide Michael was awesome and very knowledgeable about each of the areas at Mt. Rainier! Due to the rainy weather, he made strategic moves about which areas were the best to see so we could have to best experience. You could tell he was committed to having us get the best out of the trip, and it was great! He always made to effort to make conversation throughout the hike when we weren't in super scenic places and is just an overall fun and nice person to be around. The spots we got see were absolutely beautiful, I hope to go again to see the wildflowers next August!

Michael of Nature Nuts was the absolute BEST! The tour to Mt. Ranier was by far the greatest tour of our trip to Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. We lucked out with a gorgeous day and the mountain top was visible, something Michael informed us doesn't happen too often. The gourmet lunch was amazing and the tour was chock full of activity and time to rest and enjoy the breathtaking views. The views were indescribable - such beauty, it was like we were in a different country. Michael had every detail handled and was such a gracious host. Thank you for the incredible experience Michael. This was the last tour of our visit to Seattle and we definitely saved the best for last.

So many good things to say about this experience. Where do I start? Maybe the views. They were fantastic! The views though would not not been possible if our tour guide Michael did not do his weather homework before hand. With the ever changing weather patterns of Mt Rainier, especially late in the season, it was very important to do that. We started at the top and worked our way down the mountain. By time we started our journey back down the mountain and back to the city, the top of the mountain was covered in clouds. If we would have done the opposite, we would have been in clouds and would never have seen the views or gotten the pictures we did . Thank you Michael for taking the time to make our experience the best it could be, and for being such an awesome and descriptive tour guide you are. Make sure you include this trip the next time you are in Seattle!

This tour with Michael of Nature Nuts was by far my very best Seattle area experience!!! WHY? (1) MT Rainier is incredible (2) It was a gorgeous day! (3) Michael is the best tour guide I have had ANYWHERE - IN THE WORLD! Michael is experienced, organized, and great at creating a comradery among the guests. So, (4) The best tour group ever! We went on a beautiful (slightly strenuous – uphill) hike to (5) the most incredible views! (6) We had multiple diverse stops/treks to different mountain views, Reflection Lake and an old growth forest. (7) We never had to worry about anything – it is a total turn-key experience – never a worry about any of your needs. Also, the best actual gourmet lunch. When you have a choice/chance to use Nature Nuts – you should! Thank you, thank you, thank you Michael!!!

Our tour guide,Michael was great. He emailed us ahead of the trip to get our pickup location, and our lunch order; he arrived on time and in a clean vehicle. Once we arrived at the park, he was a wealth of knowledge about the history and features of the park, the plants, and the wildlife. He even brought a telescope to point out objects and places we couldn’t access. A great tour that I would easily recommend
