While the restaurants we visit will vary from tour to tour, if you're on the 2:30 pm tour, there's a good chance this will be our first stop! "Boucaniere" means "smokehouse" in Louisiana French and the smell will hit you as soon as we hop off the bus. As good as the smell is, the taste will be even better.

Stop At: Olde Tyme Grocery, 218 W St Mary Blvd, Lafayette, LA 70506, USA

While stops on the food tour may vary, this local favorite is likely to be one of our stops for the best fried seafood po-boys in Lafayette.

Stop At: Bon Temps Grill, 1211 W Pinhook Rd, Lafayette, LA 70503, USA

This fabulous local restaurant serves up our favorite chicken and sausage gumbo. There's also a full bar and a fun specialty cocktail menu. (*Adult beverages are not included in tour price but can be purchased for those who choose to partake.)

Every tour ends with dessert, and Poupart's is on of our favorite stops. We do like to leave a few things to surprise, just know, we are professional eaters, and we guarantee it will be fresh and delicious!

Stop At: NuNu's Market-Youngsville, 509 Lafayette St, Youngsville, LA 70592, USA

If you're taking our lunch tour (10am,) we'll head to the outskirts of Lafayette to experience fresh smoked sausage, boudin, and cracklin at this, one of our absolute favorite Cajun specialty meat markets. you'll have a few minutes for shopping and we carry an extra ice chest on board the bus!

This tour was amazing. Marie made the history fun and entertaining. And the food we sampled at the various local places was awesome! We’re from here but brought friends from out of town and we enjoyed it every bit as much as them and discovered a hidden gem, Jammin Java, as a new great place for sandwiches, coffee, ice cream and more!

This was our first food tour and we had so much fun, we can't wait to do another one. We were treated to delicious portions of food at 5 places. Much larger portions than we expected. Marie was an excellent guide and her teaching background certainly showed.....friendly, knowledgable, and organized. Put this on your must do list!

I am Cajun and local to the area. I have taken the Cajun Food Tour several times with both other locals and with family and friends from out of town. It is always superb. Marie is a wonderful host and is very organized with communications and service delivery. She is also upbeat and very informative about the area as she drives the tour. Each tour stop is an authentic Cajun food stop with great food. The vendors are always prepared and waiting for the group to arrive. It is a fun and entertaining tour and the food is outstanding. I can’t think of a better way to get an introduction to our unique and tasty cuisine. Do it! You won’t regret it, nor will you leave hungry (which is true Cajun hospitality).

We’ve been on 4 tours with Marie from the Cajun Food Tours. Every time we come to Lafayette we schedule a tour. There have only been 2 duplicate restaurants during the tours. Out of 20 restaurant stops I’d say that is amazing. Marie is knowledgeable & passionate about the Acadian history and local cuisine. A bonus is we’ve met some wonderful fun people on the tours. The food stops serve delicious selections. Can’t think of a better way to spend 3 hours than with Marie and other foodies who love to eat, drink and have fun. Congratulations to Marie for offering a wonderful experience.

I love food tours because foods of an area tell about the history and culture of the people there. This one delivered! Our tour guide, Ms Marie, was a former history teacher so she was GREAT at teaching us the history of the Acadians and the story behind the foods we sampled. She is also a native of the area who could explain many differences in Cajun culture or traditions versus other cultures in the area such as Creole or how New Orleans is a little different than Lafayette... Excellent Tour and Delicious food! Highly recommend.
