I had a delightful tour with Rebecca. She had so much knowledge of the area and its culinary history. The food was delicious.

Had a FANTASTIC time with our tour guide, Carrie, on the Berkeley Gourmet Ghetto Excursion. I went to school at Cal, but didn't explore this area much and learned a lot with Carrie! The tour is around a few blocks, but there's a lot to see and Carrie answered all our questions in addition to prepping all the stops so that they were ready to serve us food when we arrived. Definitely come hungry - I was stuffed by the end of the tour!

I had such a great time doing this food tour! Would highly recommend the North Berkeley Gourmet Ghetto tour. If you can get Carrie as your guide, even better! This was such a great experience and the food was all amazing. The stops were all great (Berkeley is a great place to walk around overall) and loved the historical/learning aspect of the whole thing.

I've just moved to the East Bay and this was a great way to learn more about my new neighborhood. Rebecca was a fantastic guide with lots of insider knowledge, and everything we ate was delicious.

Our tour guide Rebecca was wonderful! She used to work in the neighborhood so she was able to provide more details than the regular tour guide. The quality of food was delicious and varied from different cultures and flavors.

Ive been on many walking tours, but tgis ine takes the cake. The instructor was knowledgeable, experienced, thoughtful and an all around pleasure. We started at the Cheeseboard Collective and ended at the same place. I was absolutely stuffed by the end of it.I didnt feel hurried or streessed about making the next stop. It was chill, educational with an awesome variety of food types as well: pastrami sando, coffee, chocolate, smoothies, cheese.. etc etc etc.. its a must try!

We did the gourmet ghetto tour of Berkeley. It ended up being a private tour as our group of six was the entire tour group. The guide was nice and showed us around and answered all questions. It was my wife’s birthday and the tour guide made sure to get us some cupcakes at the end with champagne to celebrate. It was so fun no one in our group took any pictures. I would really like to do some the other tours around the bay soon. Oh and the pastrami at Saul’s was the groups favorite dish.

Had great tour with Rebecca. She is very knowledgeable about the area and the restaurants. Tastings were yummy. Overall was a great afternoon. Was a little pricey when compared to other tours I have done in New York City that provide more food for slightly more than 1/2 the cost.

My friend Mary and I had a blast on the walking food tour in Berkeley on Sunday, April 22, 2018. Rebecca was our guide. She is so energetic and a true Foodie. Her knowledge of the area and the eateries were excellent. Each restaurant was unique in it's own way. Having the chefs greet us and explain how they prepared their food and drink, along with some history of the establishment was delightful. There was never a dull moment and never any food that wasn't excellent. A fabulous tour for all.
